JOIN THE MOVEMENT.

GreenHive is already leading change in Dekalb County

GreenHive is an ecosystem of students, leaders, and climate activists (ages 18–25) who are passionate about climate action and environmental justice. As a signature program of the Fruitful Community Foundation, GreenHive empowers young people through education, advocacy, and hands-on environmental work.

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to earth stewardship, environmental policy, and climate resilience, especially in urban communities. Through our long-standing partnership with DeKalb County, we've helped build climate-resilient landscapes at libraries, senior centers, and community spaces across the county.

GreenHive is more than a program — it’s a leadership pipeline. Our Leadership Fellowship Program has graduated five cohorts of changemakers, including our most recent class in collaboration with the DeKalb Youth Commission (DYC). Participants emerge equipped with real-world experience in advocacy, organizing, and sustainable land care.

We are proud to collaborate with partners like Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, DeKalb County, IamGaleo, Fernbank Museum, and a growing network of schools and nonprofits. Together, we’re working to deepen the interconnectedness between people, policy, and the planet.
